How to evaluate yourself using Dr-SIR Pro formas?
Professional Percentile Standing
Percentile standing is useful in comparing an individual professional
performance with those of other professional within a defined category. The
Dr-SIR percentile value is an indicator of the professional comparative
standings among similar Professional within Dr-SIR database.
You can evaluate yourself by following steps:

You should first register yourself using Dr-SIR Sign-up procedure and
provide all the information about yourself and your professional information
such as the speciality, designation etc. Pro formas are fetched based on your
selected Specialty and your professional category
Professional Category:
Dr-SIR has categorized health professionals as following:

Head of department (HOD) :
It refer to the designation (Head of department , Consultant or Professor) |
|
|
Specialist : Means a Medical doctor with
post graduate qualifications and having two years of experience with minor
diploma/board eligible or having a major diploma/board certified. However, in
context of a teaching hospital/institute it would mean a Senior Specialist,
Registrar , SR Registrar , Assistant Professor or Associate Professor. |

|
Medical Officer (MO)/Resident : It refers to the designation
(Registrar , chief Resident , Senior medical officer , Medical officer ,
Residents , House Residents , House officer , Intern), M.O/Residents should be a
qualified doctor with at least one year of experience of internship or House
job. |

Nurse:
It refers to qualified staff Nurses (Student nurses are not included). |
|
|
Technician : It refers to OT Technician/Assistant. Means a
Technician trained in the relevant field with at least one year of experience. |

After successful registration you will be able to access Dr-SIR pro formas by
clicking on the links to 'Evaluate yourself'.

|
|
On clicking the link for Professional Percentile Standing, you will be asked to
specify the time period you want to evaluate your credibility.
|
|
|
After defining/saving the time period , you will be provided with the set of
questions according to your Specialty and Professional Category.
|
|
Against each questions you will provide an approximate data that can be a number
or a percentage accordingly. (You don't have to type % with the percentage
value). Also all questions are not manadatory you can skip the question if
desired.

After providing the data accordingly , you have to click on the button ' Save'.
to get the percentile value.

|
As soon as you click on 'Save' , an email message will be sent to you. It will
show you your Percentile Standing value and Professional Percentile Score
against each question you answered.
