We are particularly impressed with the wide range of features which would enable us to optimize the Operational, technical and financial aspects of our hospital and our IT manager is still studying the various functions of the package.
We are particularly excited at the prospects of having much greater control of the key elements of functionality, which will without doubt enable us to significantly improve our efficiency and equally importantly our profitability.
We have every confidence that the Dr-SIR package would offer us the opportunity to fine tune and improve our healthcare delivery system.

National Scorecard on U.S. Health System
Jul 29, 2008
Prepared for the Commonwealth Fund Commission on a High Performance Health System, the National Scorecard on U.S. Health System Performance, 2008, updates the 2006 Scorecard, the first comprehensive means of measuring and monitoring health care outcomes, quality, access, efficiency, and equity in the United States. The 2008 Scorecard, which presents trends for each dimension of health system performance and for individual indicators, confirms that the U.S. health system continues to fall far short of what is attainable, especially given the resources invested. Across 37 core indicators of performance, the U.S. achieves an overall score of 65 out of a possible 100 when comparing national averages with U.S. and international performance benchmarks. Dr-SIR seeks to fill in these performance variances; by estimating what is achievable through our consensus driven date and then comparing it actual performance .
Dr-SIR exposes performance variances in healthcares setups and allows administrators to adopt best practices by comparing their professional and operational efficiency metrics to the optimal efficiency measures.

Dr-SIR, a response to research by AHRQ.
Apr 01, 2007
The measurement of health care efficiency has lagged behind the measurement of health care quality; this was the premises of the mammoth study about US healthcare efficiency carried out by AHRQ. The study stated that despite its importance, there has not been a systematic and rigorous process in place to develop and improve efficiency measurement as there has been for other domains of performance. For the purpose of this study, reviewers examined 4,324 titles for the draft version of this report. But researchers were unable to earth a unified measure of efficiency, possessing universal application in all areas of healthcare.
Dr-SIR is one such efficiency measurement yardstick, possessing universal application. It uses a standard measure of work units to quantify healthcare activities and measures efficiency against optimal benchmarking practices. Dr SIR efficiency measurement provides health care stakeholders with specific benchmarking tools for efficiency enhancement.
